Yeah I was a bit tired from a long day first watch but never hated any part of the movie. I think people retroactively hate the first 30 minutes because it was pointless its fiction which is hilarious because THE ENTIRE MOVIE IS FICTION. They feel bamboozled and feel if they enjoyed or laughed at the first 30 minutes the movie is calling them stupid. Some wanted the entire movie to be a Trump and dark parody. So when it flips the script they become upset and feel criticized . When really again its a modern day Matrix

you think they'd atleast appreciate how excellent cruise/goodman/ahmed/plemons were here at the absolute minimum

loved john goodman in this so much his cartoonishness and physical acting were just perfect

a lot of discussion seems to surround the plot of the play itself, which takes up most of the screen time but isn't really the point or meant to be taken literally. everything happening outside of that is much more interesting and worthy of discussion imo

people will look back on this so much more favourably in a few years, im not an innaritu fan at all but he pulled off something so special with this

Its crazy seeing so many love it. While watching it I immediately knew the why of the pushback even the slight part of the twist I got spoiled for me. Having seen it I really will judge each critic that outright hated it.

totally agree like i'm genuinely entertaining the idea of there being some sort of paid hate campaign

random thing that made me laugh this watch was the 'top feline doctor in the world' just having a paw print outline logo on his lab coat like he's in paw patrol
