    In retrospect, I get the appeal but. I Don't like it as a full project. P.I.M.P is hard, The Intro, The singles but besides that it all sounds like generic rap from the time to me. It's crazy that this Just ok album is his Magnum opus in the fans eyes.

    it was also the energy surrounding it, the anticipation, the dr. dre and eminem backing, backstory, etc. it's more than the music.

    I think you could make a decent argument about LR. I'm not saying it's not a classic, but it seems debatable

    The sales were there, the classic singles are there, it's aged so f***ing well too. Kanye and Brion really pioneered something with that record as far as rap goes in its use of organic instrumentation.

    I think that it's so thematically similar to CD messes with people a bit and makes them think of it as slightly less special but it's held up even better IMO.
