With LoveThat's a false equivalency in my opinion. The reasons that music and paintings reach mainstream popularity are usually for different reasons.
Mona Lisa and Starry Night are still both technical masterpieces in their own right where as some music that reaches mainstream doesn't even have to be good on a technical level
It's got to be good at making people enjoy listening to it and that's technical so idk what you're talking about.
The reason Mona Lisa is lsited as one of the greatest works of all time is cause people lline up by the thousand to see that s*** every day

i mean i'll definitely agree with you about views being an album that a lot of people look back on fondly(myself included lmao, that was a good ass summer and that album was a big part of it for me) and that definitely leads to people gassing it up a bit too much but i don't think too many people see it as a classic
