KSG has the quality of a classic in my opinion but its impact and commercial popularity was close to zero so I dont think it can be a classic. its like a cult classic or hood classic or somethin
its a shame KSG wasn't promoted more

also I don't understand the point of trying to determine the status of an album that's barley been out for like 5 years at most, these albums haven't had time to age at all. All "classics" from the past few years are forced in that regard.

I dunno man, you're right that Cole is able to tap into "regular people" better but in my opinion it isn't the things that I personally like about him that make him easily relatable to the mainstream audience. I personally feel he resonates better with mainstream listeners cause the ideas in his music are pretty dumbed down and simple s***. S*** you'd read in a fortune cookie and think was deep.
THat's just my opinion but just because people are able to tap into a bigger audience doesn't make them better or more quality in my opinion
