Probably my least fav project out of the ones I mentioned, but still solid. Just last week Scarface named it as his fav album from those years.

What are his "misses"? Street's Disciple which had plenty of dope tracks, just suffered from being a double album, and Nasir which was more like a rushed EP and is actually overhated.

Queens Get the Money was the best track on that album. But it had more good songs.

It had some cool tracks but it didnt suffered from the double album it suffered cause the music just wasnt good, same goes we with blueprint 2, the songs just weren't good

Some of the tracks that leaked from that era blow most of that album out of the water btw. It's actually been a recurring "problem" with a lot of Nas albums, he records so much heat and a lot of it doesn't make the final cut.

Jay always does this s*** at his shows. Starts the track then goes straight acspella.

I’d prefer new music too but if Axt 2 is scrapped and we’re getting 7+ Jay Z features it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Road To Perdition or SST show up in some form.

If we take JayE literally though then it’s going to be brand new music though

He very carefully said "recorded" over 40 days. Also similar to how he technically didn't make any claims that it is a solo project.

It's entirely possible that he puts old verses on new beats or remasters old joints (similar to what he did with @FatBellyBella a couple years ago)

if this isn't all brand new songs and has 7 jay z features then he's better off not releasing it

Exactly. There’s evidence of him reusing verses before like you said. Plus we know Jay’s a perfectionist so I wouldn’t be surprised if he spent months, if not years, writing and rewriting these songs. These last 40 days could very well just be him finally rerecording the final takes and mixing them professionally.

I do think the “A Written Testimony” name is interesting though. Like is the album being renamed to “Act II: A Written Testimony” or is he dropping the whole 3-act structure altogether? Time will tell I guess
