I think the issue isn't him taking a break or whatnot, it's the album being pushed back twice.

He should've never said it was coming Summer, I was fine with it not coming that soon, but there was already some people hurt lmao.

Then he literally dropped merch for the album, released a lead, AND did a trailer for the album with a January date and now that's a lie too.... You can't literally start the whole album rollout then just say 'nvm' and find it unreasonable when people complain.

It just looks messy af to have this rollout planned so weak. The takeaway from the Summer pushback should've been 'let me plan how I can do this era during COVID'.

Instead I think he was planning 'how can I do the era once COVID ends', and now that is still isn't ending, he isn't really prepared?

Only point here I’d argue on is the merch

One CLB jacket dropping isn’t making up for whatever you felt about the drop
NOCTA drop went as good as it can go? The video was the commercial and billboards went up in more than a handful of major cities IIRC

Pop up shops? Promoting COVID spread to sell merch? Nah lol

I still feel like there’s more to the rollout than what we’ve seen so far, especially if what Odell said about Jan 1st being the release date and what Ak said about him delaying the album because of an injury is true.

If an injury stopped him from releasing the album on a basically perfect date, then it must mean he plans on moving around and has more planned for the rollout?

I understand that too lol . But damn he making it even hard for me to defend him . He been on a whole vacation to Bahamas. Have posted a CLB type pic and deleted it . He has done everything this month besides addressing the album lol when he gave a trailer for it and that’s why ppl getting upset and frustrated and I get it lol. Hype is right to some degree. He puts more pressure on himself by giving dates and then delaying if you’re not ready to release just say it’s delayed but I promise it will be worth it and then it will be ok . I still don’t see drizzy giving a whole worldwide trailer for his album to delay again . I pray this isn’t views all over again I hated views rollout . Til

Yep one thing for me was having a clean nice rollout not interrupted by beef but somehow he's messed it up. Looks disjointed all over again.

To be fair the pandemic, uncertainty of 2020 and his injury have been the new external factors but still frustrating.

Honestly I wouldn’t. I don’t mind waiting . But he got to stop giving dates and not meeting them . Just say it’s delayed until further notice and that will be it . Ppl hold him to what he says lol you can’t make it seem like ppl have no reason to be mad or upset they have every right to be. But I’m not cause drake is notorious for doing this when it album time been doing it his whole career on and off . That’s why I’m not worried I’m hype either way new album new beginnings new music .
