rozcoIf I was Drake I'd be watiing to make sure nothing f***ed up happens next week with the inauguration before either dropping the album or beginning the hype for the last week of January.
There's a difference between waiting for the world to be perfect, which is never gonna happen, and being seen as incredibly tone-deaf and releasing an album the same week a homegrown terrorist does something insane.
Most likely nothing will happen but why risk it. By the end of next week, if all goes according to plan, there will be a new epoch in the world and Drake can start it off with a masterpiece. No sense in rushing out news before then. He doesn't need more than a day tops to reach maximum hype levels.
If something terrible happens the whole world stops, if not there's no reason he won't stick to the plan.
Just sayin
This actually makes a lot of sense, and makes me more confident info will come late next week.
Imagine he announced he was dropping on the 29th then Biden was f***ing assassinated on the 20th. Obviously very unlikely to happen but, still better to not take any chances.

Yeah i can personally see 29th happening or 5th of february. 1 week rollout with the release date, tracklist, feats all stretched out + maybe a new singles and hes good to go

i dont know if surprise releases work in 2020/2021. Dark Lane was announced the night before if I remember correctly and sold 223,000 first week. Keep in mind, I noticed that a lot of people didn't rush to listen because it had ''Demo Tapes'' in the title, but I feel like 1 week rollout would work better for the general public to catch up to it.

wednesday 27th: feats
friday 29th: releaseis how I would go bout it so people get information throughout the week and keep talking about it but idk what they have planned
