ryuHBetter how? Because it more closely resembles our preconceived notions of what a classic album sounds like? GKMC is a masterpiece for sure and I def don’t fault you for enjoying it more than TPAB because the latter is a much tougher pill to swallow but that doesn’t make TPAB any less brilliant. TPAB actually CHALLENGES listeners which is something a rap album RARELY does (even the ones we call “classic”) and that’s why lazy listeners can’t stand it lol.
Anyway I’m not gonna debate the greatness of a Kendrick album in Drake sxn because I have too much respect for the boy but just know y’all trippin lol
This. TPAB was pertinent then and it hasn’t been more pertinent than it has been the last few months. Despite it lacking in commercial success when compared to GKMC, the message of TPAB album far exceeds GKMC.
