nah bro drake needa say f*** it and stop pleasing everyone with his next album
this time i want it to be really focused and cohesive, one vision
just pure rap album once again from drake
and after that i need afrobeats only tape its been time for that for a long time
Doesn't even need to be 100% rap to be cohesive. See NWTS

Drake is a people pleaser, he says it all the time in his music, so thatās never going to happen. Also doesnāt need to be pure rap, he can do R&B and pop if he wants as long as itās to the highest of his ability but he doesnāt give us that. Honestly that multi million dollar deal makes me feel like heāll just keep churning out music bc heās obligated to now.

oh yea definitely agreed i didn't mean it like that at all
id just really love to hear a drake album where he's just fully focused on solely one genre for once, that's all
not expecting it but it'd be cool

Heāll never do it. Itāll only get criticized and picked apart anyway. He isnāt in the business of letting his brand be vulnerable to blemishes in any way anymore and I donāt blame him.
If you want to realise how good Drake is, listen to Mr. Morale, then delete your hard drive and put CLB afterwards. One is like nails on chalkboard to heavenly music.
What we need next is Drake's BlackSummersNight
, break it down with a pure focused hip hop project
, that slow moody RnB project
and have it culminate with a straight up and down pop record, blending all his styles and pop sensibilities
Album has trickles of some of his best work to date, grossly overhated by the consensus. The era was super fun and calculated too. Those promotional quotes were so hard..
āSheās only a good girl because hell donāt got Chanelā
No one better at creating pop rap music that people actually can listen to in all capacity of their lives.
I'm a drake guy, but I consider myself as close to unbiased as possible when I discuss him but it's so crazy hearing people champion Pusha T and Dot's albums meanwhile Drake gets penalized because he can rap and bring forth melodies that people actually want to listen to multiple times throughout their lively experiences.

Its like what I was telling somebody in music sxn earlier. People criticize drake for making music people actually want to listen to

You can't have everything (no pun intended. One of my favorite deep cuts From drake)
You can't be great at making pop rap records and still get acclaim for being a great lyricists and making great albums. It's like the rap community can't digest that.

You canāt make pop rap records, be a great lyricist and put that in a great body of work? Why not?

Misinterpreting what Iām saying
I think you can, and I definitely think drake does that
What I was getting at was that that package is too much for most rap fans to digest. If you notice they NEVER allow room for artists who are great at Melodies hooks and song structure to be great lyricists as well.

Well said. These ādeepā intellectuals want everything but the straight truth.
Drake is the GOAT lyricist and no lyrical miracle rapper is close.
He is the epitome of hip hop and theyāve been taught to shun him. He is without boundary and always the real.
His greatest lyrical songs are a simple soulful loop with him just spittinā. No weirdo voices, no 6 different characters, no pseudo musical theatre show in an album, no political motivationā¦just great music and lyricism.
But then he hits you with tropical flavors. He hits you with the R&B vibes. He hits you with the dance hit. Heās the most experimental artist and yet they say he doesnāt grow š
