āUnder a picture live some of the greatest quotes from meā gives me chills, man really captioned an entire generation
Over a week later and this album is just everything I wanted from clb: the 3 best leaks made it in Love All, TSU, and Race My Mind, CDQ full version of Fair trade, a killer opening track in Champagne Poetry, introspective outro in The Remorse, a timestamp diss track, bar heavy drake, rnb drake, simp drake, mob boss drake, I donāt know what more anyone could want. 10/10 for me after 10+ listens.

True
Idk if itās his best because More Life exists but itās definitely my favorite since IYTITL.

Itās been a while for a drake studio project to really pull me in from the get go and not having me āWhenās this track going to endā. Start to finish its perfect. Any of my complaints are insignificant.

Exactly.
Iām talking to someone who said they fw No Friends in the Industry but didnāt catch the ShaāCardi of Richard Pryor bars, is this normal?

more life is just behind CLB for me, but id understand why you would feel that way

for a casual listener, I guess

The Richard part I could see, but the Shaācarri one was so blatantā¦

And I feel like the trailer released in October lines up with this album perfectly. Itās a mix of so far gone, take care, NWTS and dark lane demo tapes. Regardless of the delays, I feel like he hit the nail on the head with what he was trying to do with the trailer.
This is his best project since IYRTITL
I have IYRTITL 3rd in his discography and I think CLB might be better
Idk, he really sounds like he hates himself/his life. It was true on the other albums too but itās more pronounced here.
I see how you might think that but thereās a lot of moments where he genuinely seems happy to be himself and happy to be loving life, though this album is scattered with more dark reflection about betrayal and lost relationships
Heās definitely starting to feel the weight of his choices more here and expressing them instead of suppressing them IMO

Shacari line wouldāve been hard if she didnāt get blown out in her return lmao

No they clearly donāt actually listen to the music lol
That Marching sound in Knife Talk is so muhfuckin good it adds depth and context. The more details I pay attention on CLB the more I love it.

Funny enough bro called CLB mid

Casual listeners are even more jarring in music considering how strong they opinions be
Man thereās so many layers in the transitions, sometimes itās theme related at others is just sonically, but thereās a lot of details.
People talking about how this doesnāt even have good song structures are stupid and first and foremost donāt know s*** about music. He clearly intended this album to not have the basic song structures that everybody has used in the past, heās evolving, how many different song do we have from TSU to Pipe Down, is like 5 but theyāre compressed in this trio format that keeps you entertained while you go thru it. Is genius.
