Not sure if this has already been posted or picked up, but just saw this video about Champagne Poetry - tiktok.com/@fontainewoods/video/7005191383438904582

Bro he's doing so much s*** on this album, I'm afraid I'm never going to get all the bars. This is incredible. Top tier lyricism.

It's crazy! On my first listen I thought the lyrics were basic, and now each day a new bar or double entendre is surprising me.
Third verse of F***ing Fans giving me heavy third verse of Days In The East vibes

the dude next to him was just very sleepy lol, you should watch him react to other drake songs he's always lit

I enjoy CLB, just it is missing anything new or unexpected. This feels like Drake could've made and put out this album from 2017 to now. How he is using his voice and how the album is structured has some similarities to his earlier works. Honestly, CLB has a lot of the problems TML (sounds bland in spurts, as mentioned by Drake when saying TML was his only 'traditional studio experience'), TC (album structure & length), and Views (Vocal performance is underwhelming on majority of the project, on otherwise, spectacular songs). He missed the mark in trying to recapture the magic of NWTS, if that was his goal, which he mentioned in the Rap Radar interview.
The lyrics are where this album shines and will be what keeps you coming back. I still love this album, with 'Pipe Down' being the best record and performance on the album, yet this album feels like watching a great athlete get bored, so fans can't discern if they are losing a step, indifferent until challenged (7am on Bridle Path), or the athlete is just not interested in improving upon the standard they have set for themselves. Looking forward to getting a proper interview and see if he addresses anything about this album. Hopefully, as nuts as this sounds, there is more music on the way, sooner than we would expect....Drake is so good, we always anticipate the "next one", which could/should be his "best one". Salute to the Drake, OVO, the whole squad on KTT, KTT2, and Discord(s).
Enjoy the music!
I only really come back to 7-8 tracks (but they're pretty good tracks) from the album but I wanna highlight how good that little "it's over when we DROP" emphasis that he does
just little things like that stuck with me from the album
