Just listened to fantano review he spent a little too much time reviewing drake as a person . I get that he feels drake is redundant but only song he was enthused about was you only live twice
and people that like this album thought that song was cool. there’s a disconnect I bet dehh will also say that’s their fav song.

IMO he is when he raps raps k dot just have denser bars . The gap with him drizzy Cole is not as wide as everyone makes it out to be my personal opinion

I love both but I think Drake is a better lyricist because he can tap into the more emotional words that truly resonate vs Kendrick who focuses on the style side when he does different flows and voices which can feel disjointed and the end result isn't as good. Drake also been rapping longer and has more songs so we've seen his full range and so we know he's more versatile but that's not to say Kendrick can't also do that but his work ethic is lower.
Take a example like The Calm or Look What You've Done, 4pm in Calabasas, Do Not Disturb and many more countless examples. We don't get that as often from Kendrick but when we do it's almost as good.
I feel the same way . Like the gap for rapping between him drizzy isn’t wide of not wide at all . But people gon say what they want

it’s crazy because that song is one of the most underwhelming due to the low quality engineering or mix on it. Weezy killed it but why does Lord knows a song made 10 years ago sound more clean than that?
