I mean Nice For What is one of my favorite drake songs ever, don't really remember the ktt reaction for it. As for God's Plan I remember people hating but Gods Plan didn't sound like he was chasing memes

I can understand your point but Drake can’t win bro. When he has big hits people go at him cause “He can’t rap and only chases hits and is a pop star”. When he goes for the more lowkey rap joints, “he can’t do hits anymore”. He’s a victim of jis own versatility at this point.

I can confidently say that there are definite tracks throughout this whole album that I’ll be going back to listen to when I’m not going through the album top to bottom.

That other album is exclusively the first nine, becomes kind of a chore after that

Everyone I know doesn't fw it like that, even my girl who has always loved drake can't even make it through the album. This all just circumstantial evidence but I do notice a clear difference between this and the rest of the albums with the people I know. Im sure it'll do great on the charts as always

This album isn’t a hit chaser tho, there’s so many more songs here where I’m reminded of old school pre2016 drizzy: race my mind,7am, YOLT, get along better, love all fair trade.. and also there’s even songs where he changes his sound which is everyone’s big critic: n2deep (1st half in particular), pipe down, CHAMPAGNE POETRY (🙏), imy2 (love it or hate it it’s a difft style for drizzy), ITB.. he did things everyone always criticized him for but now it’s “obviously there’s not enough classic drizzy dance jams and hot hits”.. there wasn’t supposed to be criticism fine just think he answered a lot of it

I'd say this and Scorpion are his bottom two but it's close for me. CLB more consistent but scorpion has more stand out songs imo

They wanna say numbers don’t mean anything but they mean EVERYTHING. it’s literally a quantification of how many people play your album and continue to play your album. If the numbers aren’t there, the music isn’t there it’s just that simple.
