Posted this earlier and it got randomly deleted, but I wanted to have a discussion about it. Is CLB drake’s worst album? Usually people at least listen to his music for a couple weeks but this one fell off hard after one day.

You mean “Is Donda Kanye’s worst album?” Fell off after Sunday.
I’m literally trying to have a discussion
And you can discuss with yourself on mute
I’ve been pondering this for awhile after some discussions with friends but I think as I get older it’s harder to truly connect to music like I did when I was younger. I think that’s why TC and NWTS will always be at the top of my list because I was able to make SO many memories to that music while I was going out more, had less responsibilities etc. This isn’t even unique to Drake though and I notice a lot of people have the same kind of sentiment. I think that’s why a lot of our parents and stuff talk about music not being as good or not hitting the same. I’m really starting to get to the point where I’ve had my defining era and although there will always be drops I enjoy it’s hard to find something that will really shift my life like that

both great albums and artists
That being said CLB to me has potential to be a top 3/4 album I just hope I can connect with it emotionally more based on my life

I don't think there is anything to discuss - it's not like we have statistics why so many people ain't listening to the album on the second day

I’m gonna take a wild guess and say it’s because they didn’t like it

The music has to grow with you, I like this album but I would completely understand the perspective of people saying this album doesn't show the growth level they're at compared to a Nas album or a Hov album

are you familiar with 2nd day streaming numbers in general? what happens to streaming numbers for albums with large streaming number on day 1?
and the only reason kanye album did better on the second day is because it dropped unexpectedly on the first day. most people listened to it on the second day. check the third day streams for donda and clb tomorrow
i don't know if you are trolling or not but here is an actual reply to your post

when you grow older you also get more rigid in your thinking and preferences, so new music is harder to get into
but another part of it i think is that you no longer get enjoyment out of certain aspects of life that you used to so inevitably that bleeds over into the music you listen to

We honestly were SO spoiled growing up when we did. I mean you gotta think we were coming up in a sort of musical renaissance in that 2011-2015 time period and the quality of music in that time combined with the ages of a lot of us were made connecting with that music so easy and heavy. Not to say that there isn’t still quality music being pumped out, but I don’t think anyone would disagree that 2011-2015 was just…different for the musical landscape.
