At a point, the money he was making from Degrassi was what paid their rent, paid for feeding, his mom and grandmother's d****, etc. His Uncle was always around but he never helped out financially because he never had enough money to.

I think there was a behind the scenes doc they did for Degrassi where one of the producers of the show spoke about how she focused on him a lot because he told her that his role as Jimmy Brooks was an escape from his real life. Jimmy had both parents in his life and they had enough money to take care of him but Aubrey didn't. She even said that sometimes, after filming, he'd be relevant to go back home because of the reality of that situation.

Drake's mom confirmed all of this herself. I'm sure if he ever does a documentary on his life/career, all these things would get brought up.

I think it is hard to go back and do that now... when he is far removed from it and in a complete different mindset of where he is at in life. Probably not something that he wants to relive in his music nowadays. Bless him.

And he has done it in his music already about his beginnings. His family. Mother and father. He has mentioned it a lot, even on this album, throughout songs and albums in his career.

You are kind of exposing yourself in that regard... not gonna lie.
