EverestGetting to the Jay song and hearing that beat was a disappointing moment
Cool track but why get Jay on that one. I love that style of Jay but the way drake was rapping didn’t really make me think he knew it was gonna be a Jay collab and didn’t go back and edit his verse or anything afterwards

Eh. I can’t remember that distinction being made. NWTS being my favourite album pre-CLB, it had no parallels to either of those albums and I can’t remember that being made with other people.
If you’re talking about initial mixed reactions sure but in terms of the sound/production/themes of those two to CLB, vastly different.
