EverythingLmao that tan was egregious. It's a little ridiculous that she didn't have more sway in terms of direction. She was a multi platinum artist by the time Exodus got rolling.
It's bizarre that they didn't place trust in someone who was A) already writing their own lyrics/music and B) was already self producing massive albums. AND she knew English.
Back then you couldn’t go on the internet and plug your own rollout and creativity on the internet, MySpace was still a couple years away.
So you had to let the record companies have all their way. And they usually end up being as out of sound as possible.
It’s like WWE where every creative decision for a hundred performers is made by one out of touch 80 year old. Of course they’re gonna produce raw horseshit, because what the f*** does an 80 year old know about what connects with a young millennial audience?
