Afrobeat, UK rap, dancehall and their respective artists werenât necessarily globally appealing in 2016. Certain pockets yes, but Drake didnât have to embrace it nor the artists and put it out as studio album.
The criticism he got from doing that at the time indicates it was a risk that paid off handsomely.
i would not never want to hear drake going metal it wouldnt fit , but it would be a risk - would you agree?
btw i would like to hear drake on some portishead style of beats or some crazy electronic based production like boards of canada or aphex twin:)

Having his features adhere to the bars overall how they did . You got Travis saying the devil my opp . Sound wise itâs all over the place . Ye doesnât do things to be liked . Drake does and thatâs okay

Nah I gave up wanting drake to switch it up personally. If he wants to just be a bit machine that's fine. I'm not gonna act like he be taking risks tho lmao. TPAB was a huge risk after GKMC for example
