I understand drake is the artist obviously so he has the ultimate say but I just can’t see someone with a taste level as high as oliver and a lot of the other guys in ovo signing off on this and cosigning it, even drake himself has been known to have a great taste level in art. To just do this is overboard. I hate the cover and don’t see myself coming around to it. Very disappointed in that aspect

This supposed “cover art” (I still think there will be another version or something lol) and that “for lovers only” post from Drake related has me feeling like this gonna be Drake’s “Graduation” which is fire

What I mean by that is Kanye was already a creative dude on CD and LR but with Graduation he took the aesthetic and musical direction to a whole nother level. I remember the cover seeming like it was so different than CD or LR and it ended up being classic. The Graduation artwork was flames tho, way better than this but ijs it was definitely different back then.

Drake apparently sees emojis as a medium for creativity rn so we’ll see how this lands when it’s all said and done

One last take of the cover art (whether right or wrong)

It just doesn’t seem to align with anything to do with the rollout. The billboards, the merch etc, No rose, Cupid, No logo (given the logo doesn’t have to be on there).

If anything the placeholder makes much more sense, also, why pull the placeholder if it was just that (perhaps it wasn’t the final one).

Given the rollout couple days short notice, perhaps the team and those they’ve pushed (Elliott etc) to tell social media that it’s the cover to gain hype because they know how reactionary social media is.

I probably wrote this for nothing and could be wrong but just something I thought about.
