Yeah i wouldn’t say it’s in my top 3 drake projects and I remember feeling really conflicted about the project after the first few listens. Like there were so few songs I liked. But a year later, I revisited the project and have grown to appreciate it much more. Songs that I didn’t like initially are now always in my rotation. Like if you cut off maybe like 5 songs off scorpion, you have another great compilation of music. And for nonstop, idk I don’t think it’s generic at all. Just the way drake approached the rapping, flows, Adlibs, etc. on that beat (that had this amazing constant bass throughout and just had an addicting quality to it) was unlike what he did before or other artists at the time were doing.
