i can see why drake chose the "complete silence won't drop anything" route. it's the lesson he learned from 2018. a quick summary of the chess game with kanye:

1. kanye holds listening party around rumored drake drop date 7/23. plays unfinished version. gets bad reviews. this was a bait to make drake drop so he could drop the actually finished version(the one played on listening party 2) against clb. then people would be talking about how kanye magically improved the album and it's one of his best works and it would overshadow clb

2. currently kanye knows drake is under pressure to drop clb(after all the clb promo and talk drake done recently). but drake knows as soon as he does something kanye will drop donda on him. i think the mike dean drama was bait too so drake would drop some info about the release date. basically they are both waiting on each other and here we are
