Wow. Did you see David Ayer's letter about Warner Bros. releasing a cut of Suicide Squad that wasn't in line with his vision? I felt bad for him. Suicide Squad was a decent film but looking back on it, it does feel there was some part of a fuller vision that got cut out.

That's what happened? Damn. That's f***ed up. I'm glad Zack Snyder even got financing to finish up Justice League the way he intended but even with that, there were certain things he wanted to do that the studio stopped.
You hear stories like this and you stop being surprised at reports of directors walking away from projects because of artistic differences with studios.

All these major industries are all cutthroat. So many people whose lives have been ruined because of it. The fashion industry, Hollywood, the music industry — they're all terrible. It's a wonder how some of our favorite musicians cope.
