Clb38He did say this album was heavily introspective. This was a while back so no telling what the project compares to what he considered “CLB” at that point in time, but I feel like he always has two or three songs on each album that take a deep dive into that bag you’re referring to. He’s just too diverse to ever make 10 sandras roses on one album and call it a body of work. It would be too one dimensional for him. (I’m making a slight assumption based on how he’s discussed making albums in the past.)
yeah i feel you but that's not really what i meant. love sandra's rose and those types of introspective records that i know he always delivers, but i was more referring to the production side of things i guess.

My personal opinion is that it’s not about one overshadowing the other, it’s that if drake drops the same day as Kanye, these two albums will forever be linked. It’ll always be about that they dropped on the same day, not necessarily about the quality of the releases. So if drake really is this confident about what could end up being his magnum opus, he probably just wants to drop it on a day when absolutely nothing can take eyes off of CLB for even a second.

The day a Drake project doesn't have at least one hit record is the day people will quadriple down on his run being over. Hell, he's been scoring the most hits out of every rapper every year since 2009 and people are still finding ways to say his run is over.
