and Drake still outperforms him so massively, it's actually insane to me lol. Just imagine the numbers and records Drake would be if he went as far as Abel
even Life is Good went 9x plat faster than Blinding Lights. all it took was a good MV vs about 20 live performances
Life Is Good had a crazy youtube push

"Youtube push" you mean the algorithm. That's a robot that guessing what you want to hear but you still have to click on it yourself

Not entirely true because it could have autoplayed. But any Youtube "stimulus" is exaggerated
Tbh i would love if Drake dropped a single on Friday and put Abel in his place even though they both goated.

Holy s***
KTT going to explode if Drake, Abel and Kanye all drop stuff together
I have a feeling that Drake is on the Weeknds new album or he's on Drakes new album. OR BOTH

Imagine…just imagine… JUST IMAGINE
The amount of times Abel reposts records his singles break is ridiculous
There's nothing wrong with that. I personally don't mind it. It kinda shows you how much he cares about people knowing how successful he is, though.
So abel is smarter
One could see it that way. Ideally, artists should do all they can to give their music the best chance to do well, however, Drake not doing that and still outdoing everybody highlights just how powerful he is as an artist.
we will probably never find out but there has got to be some reason behind the scenes as to why the clb rollout has been so disastrous
I wouldn't call it disastrous. I think he had his mind set on dropping an album in 2020 but the pandemic throw all those plans away. He released DLDT as a way to hold fans over with the hope that he'd still be able to drop sometime later in the year but I bet when he saw how the pandemic was affecting everything, from the way people listened to music and how touring was out of the picture, he held back and in that time, decided to spend more time working on the album with the hopes of dropping it this year.
As for the actual rollout and why he hasn't dropped multiple singles off the album yet since he seems to be getting ready to drop the album soon, I don't know. I can only guess he wants to be completely done with the album before kicking off the main rollout.
I have a feeling that Drake is on the Weeknds new album or he's on Drakes new album. OR BOTH
I highly doubt that.

He'd definitely debut at #1 if he dropped a new single on Friday.
Not entirely true because it could have autoplayed. But any Youtube "stimulus" is exaggerated
Autoplay is an option you can toggle off and on. If you notice a particular video consistently getting autoplayed even when you don't select it and you do nothing to change that (by turning off the option), then that's on you.
Otherwise, the algorithm was what kept recommending the video for multiple users and you can't pay for that. The algorithm selects random videos and does that.

This pretty much sums it up. These were the biggest artists of 2020.
Abel scored the biggest hit of his career and a really successful album and Drake outdid him with no effort whatsoever. Their gap in the US was even bigger.
