I doubt he's able to tour this year. Probably won't be able to tour till Q2 next year at the earliest just off of most arenas being booked down months ago. If he drops the album this month or next, it'll be the first time he's dropped an album and then waited over 6 months to tour for it. He usually drops and then immediately goes on tour.

Yeah. I can imagine how hard it was for the Weeknd. Dropped a huge album, scored the biggest hit of his career and can't tour to perform that album till almost 2 years after it's release. That sucks.

I may be proven wrong (in fact, I hope I am because I'm tired of waiting for the album at this point), but I really think he just wants to be done with the album and know it's ready to go whenever he wants and then he can officially begin rolling it out with singles and stuff. He's been actively working on the album since 2019. I'm sure he's tired of that by now. It's the longest time he's spent working on any project.

But yeah, he also hasn't toured since 2019 and he's toured every year from 2008-2019, the only year he didn't go on tour in that time period was 2011. I'm sure he's missing performing as well so I just can't see him dropping the album if he knows he won't be able to perform it until 6-9 months from then. Longest time he's taken between dropping an album and touring for it was Take Care/Club Paradise Tour. Take Care dropped November 15, Club Paradise Tour began February 14 so about 3 months.
