Does anyone remember back in 2013 when Cole pushed his release date for Born Sinner up so that he could drop on the same day as Kanye? And if you remember, Cole outsold him by roughly 40,000 copies. Drake could do something similar. Since the album is just needing mixing, he could expedite the process and drop the same day as Kanye. In Drake's mind - what is the best way to get rid of Ye than to decimate his numbers by dropping CLB on the same day?
