Not with sales..whatever those songs sold before the album dropped didn't count towards its first week..

They only use it for certification.

So an album could technically sell 100k copies and be platinum certified in the first week if you tack on a very old successful single.

Love that this album went through many iterations. We should be getting the best possible songs.

This is my thought process. If he had a finished product ready to roll.

And had 7 months afterlife to fine tune verses, make better hooks, etc. There is no reason this shouldn't be his best album.

On the one hand, yeah hopefully as you mentioned what we get will be the most refined version of CLB

But there is also the risk of the original vision of the album having been diluted due to the many revisions it has undergone

I have thought this before every kanye release in the last 3 years...not always the case haha
