I think it’s fair to say Akon isn’t a “legend” and just that he had hits. I get the idea that everyone who had hits can’t automatically be a legend.

T-Pain definitely a legend for me though because the VOLUME of hits he had was crazy and he had a pretty big impact on the overall sound of music. Also, Akon faded into obscurity a bit musically while T-Pain still had a little bit of juice like having one of the more known Tiny Desks, winning masked singer, a well-received cover album and just some random things that make him go viral once in a while.
