soapmanwunYou defined it for what it is: an era. People will move on, and Kendrick will be continue to be defined by whatever he decides to do next, because as a Kendrick fan I'm confident he'll reinvent himself like he always does for every new era.
I remember when GNX dropped some people were expecting direct shots at Drake, but because it just subs people really weren't able to direct conversations about the album to Drake. If anything I saw Wayne brought up more. It wasn't until Drake sued did the beef talk really start again, and then now ofc because the Superbowl, but after this I'm sure everybody will move on because anything Kendrick and Drake will do exclusively from the beef will also be worth defining their careers.
I understand and think this is valid but you get what I mean right? Not everyone IS a Kendrick fan. So if this is his biggest era and it’s defined by NLU people will largely remember him as the NLU rapper. This is different from his fans who follow him actively. I don’t think NLU “literally” defines his career among listeners or generally. I’m saying that since I know Kendrick is actually an artist I think it’s unfortunate most normies will end up remembering him as the anti-Drake funny pedophile song guy instead of the GKMC guy or something. And I know this isn’t necessarily exclusive of each other in theory but it kind of is in terms of exposure from non-listeners.

Prezkendrick was definitely hurt by performing Alright at the halftime show a few years ago. i assume thats why he didnt play it here. but he doesnt have enough hits to be swapping out hits
