Not true they loved Dr Dre’s performance
The Weeknd got a good reception too
Continue on the cope tho
Facts there was a clear difference in the energy surrounding those performances when they happened, a lot of people just genuinely didn’t like this, hip hop fans included
The Serena move is everywhere
This nigga really found a way to break the medium again lmfao
Yep
respectfully i just watched the whole thing and didn't see it, you know the timestamp?
edit: oh i thought they was saying it actually showed in the show. i was expecting too much lol
I'd like to see Drake do this type of performance. The theatrics, the artistry, actualizing a concept within taste.
But I just don't think he has it in him or the team around him to provide it.
It was interesting to hear an alt vocal take of her verse nonetheless, bc it’s not the studio version
Happens A LOT at the Super Bowl and major award shows; the artist will record a track to lip sync to leading up to the show so it’s not the same as the album
The only way drake could top this is if he dropped some FIRE and I mean FIREEEE next solo album and preformed it at the World Cup ten times the viewing of the Super Bowl
Bozo thought he did something coming out in a hoodie with holes & smoke
He ain’t dropping anything good ever again. It’s over
God damn nigga stfu
LET HIM COOK NIGGA
Drake doesn’t even have to be there. They just could shut off the lights and have a DJ play Drake’s hits and people would be singing and vibing to it more than Kendrick’s gimmicky slop performance
The Weeknd’s performance was intentionally alienating and it was a hit
The halftime show format with multiple artists in 2022 hasn’t been topped since. Would be nice to see the halftime show be treated like a general showcasing of all legacy acts local to the given area
I love Kenny, but I felt like some of the energy of the songs and the tracklist he chose didn't really translate well into a SB halftime show
Ironically, halfway through out the performance, my primary thought was that Drake would've been a better choice, simply because of his more "radio-friendly" catalogue that would've translated better into a SB show. Hotline Bling, God's Plan, etc.
Cool show tho, just not among the great ones tbh.
That nigga was not there to please the crowd with his old hits.
My whole thing with this is Kendrick has a whole catalog of hits. Why why he focus the whole thing around GNX and Drake? I get doing NLU, because of the hype, but wow! Sad show!
And everyone saying it just wasn’t his crowd cause it was all white people, well those same white people boo’d the s*** out of taylor swift when they showed her on screen and his main crowd is mostly white people so idk what that narrative even proves. It was just a bad super bowl performance.
Show was great. Nothing amazing but was a solid performance. It’s beyond hilarious to see how emotional and genuinely hurt some of these drake stans are online lmfao
that gotta be Chike lawyer in the back or some s***, white man did not unfold his arms once during all that
If It was that bad why do you feel the need to do PR and damage control like you on payrol

white people hate Taylor swift more than Kendrick Lamar
well at least this Super Bowl. They think she supports satan (quoting a sentiment I kept hearing all week from different white women lmaoo)

He doesn’t have it in him and never has

And that’s fine. It’s okay if not everyone likes everything you do
Kendrick is the kind of artist who would break formula the way he did and people love him for that
You’re not an artist that matters until you make some people mad IMO

All this talk for a thinly veiled Sony ad
