NoirHe did make it all about him
90% of the set was his new album. He could have made it about what his fans wanted or what made him popular to begin with, but he wanted to show the world that he is a relevant artist, not a dinosaur act.yeah he literally performed album cuts… from his new album lol
but the people who don’t care for him will say whatever helps them get a good nights sleep

The beginning was a bit stinky but it got better after couple of songs. Good setlist and great moments. Sound technicians could have done better job but Apple probably going to fix the sound like they did with Usher when they upload it to youtube

i guess i just dont get this sentiment at all. He did something for the rap fans. why water it down for folks so that they can think the genre / kendrick is something it isnt. this was a rap performance.
i just hate this kind of s*** because if like Metallica or some s*** was performing, nobody would be like "they shouldnt have played the heavy metal songs, they needed the more pop ones"... i know its not a 1 to 1 comparison... i guess what im trying to say is let rap be rap and f*** anybody who has a problem with it?
