I think the next big thing after the SB and his next album is making PgLang an actual record label. Not some bullshit alot of modern rappers push as labels, like 4PF or whatever, but I feel like PgLang will be the next Aftermath.

    I hope so fam

  • Hip hop doesn’t really want Kendrick to be as active as they claim.

Why is this like the only other major artist I’ve seen big up Kendrick with no mention of Wayne smh

A lot of mainstream celebs and artists showed love. Its just rappers who are quiet for obvious reasons

    Jay Elect?

His Twitter rant was more directly defending Hov but also lowkey supporting Kendrick

“And how yall so quick to let yall gun bust at your brother over nothing”

Not a little baby crying for attention and sympathy

OK lets talk on both sides of the river right now

I don't think anyone can argue that Wayne would put on a better show performance wise than kendrick, and anyone telling you otherwise is either bitter and should be ignored or just thinks that studio song quality alone is a merit on this aspect of entertainment, which would have a point if you're comparing kendrick to a rock band or perhaps a jazz group, but when they're artists from the same genre and of the top level it doesn't work quite as well

    But

I do think its unfortunate that Wayne couldn't do new Orleans, why is it OK for him to wait another year instead of kendrick... and yes I understand that this is kendricks biggest year in about 7. Its very difficult, it's a hard conversation to have. Let's say it's entirely up to the people who watched last year's game, I can honestly say it probably wouldn't be either being picked if it was up to every football fan out there. But if you narrow it down to rappers, I doubt as many people as you may think actually care about the Wayne/new Orleans connection. If anything it's probably likely people would choose drake over kendrick or Wayne if we are just going for the football fans. Or eminem for that matter actually...

I think its fair that people are upset that Kendrick without the diss songs if he just had a quiet year no releases at all someone else gets this. Do I think that person is wayne or that wayne is deserving or a good representation to be the first rapper ?no. I do think this is a year Kendrick reached the casual audience and club / sports more than ever before because we all have in some way been waiting for Drake to get his come uppance

This compares to when This is America dropped and Feels like summer with references to Ye at a time where Ye was falling apart. People will always want to be on the ground floor of whats next. Even on here many of these current Kendrick Fans were not vocal during Morale, Damn , GKMC , section 80 but now are just rampant constant threads every day because now its popular.

You ask the same people Wayne or Kendrick who has invested time to see them live, vinyl, cd or any of that you get silence. Some people engage with certain art just to be included in the conversation. For rap this year this is low barrier to entry some who have never heard a full album by either artist just radio are able to listen to the songs. There are recap videos of the beef. They are both portrayed like well written characters in a fictional drama

Where a record label eats either way. This Lil Wayne with Birdman, Nicki and more being livid just is a poor reflection of Rap. Not everything has to be a beef moment. People real life die behind the words some have become too comfortable with. It went from competition to just a bad energy while you got White People cripwalking to a song that repeatedly says not like us

Wayne rocking Trump , joking about Emitt Till and then crying when he doesn't get selected by the whites. Because he been catering to them so much of his career similiar to Ye . So when they dont let him in the club he gets upset because he knows he has been pandering. He knows he said a rich black nigga proves racism doesn't exist. He for a moment reflects on if it was worth it

He knows he a lean addict who cant perform. he doesn't congratulate Kendrick. Its no longer competition for him. He got a coke head Nicki one ingredient away from a crackhead in his ear. While Drake loads up the next lines and gasses all of them up to make it look like Kendrick is some industry puppet when they are being used to turn us against each other

Congrats to Taylor Swift on Super Bowl 2026. I myself will be playing GTA VI during that half time
