    It’s not mutually exclusive

Just saying the guy had a whole character arc where he realized he didn’t want to be the face of speaking out on social issues and fixing his own stuff was more important.

I don’t see how acknowledging that is hypocritical or makes me a dumbass.

It was moreso the realization that he couldnt save the whole world by himself and he would’ve drove himself crazy when a lot of this world is f***ing stupid. So he focused on his own world. His loved ones.

DAMN is interesting because even though it’s a fairly commercial assessable album, he was DEPRESSED on it. Like the saddest and lowest we’ve ever heard him. And Morale was him working on himself and getting to a better place.

All Drake had to do was just send Kenny him and Coles verses instead of playing chicken

Wait he sent it without the verses? 😂

The whole reason everything started was a domino effect. Drake reluctantly sent Kendrick the song, but ONLY the beat. None of his vocals or telling him what he should rap about. Kendrick asked for his vocals and Coles and he refused. Kendrick sensed Drake was setting up a trap and trying son him and he backed out.

Oh wow I didn’t know this. I thought he sent the entire record and when Kendrick heard the big 3 part he was like nah I’m good I’m better than yall. This makes it more interesting though

I think the difference is that Wayne has been vocal about wanting to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl in his hometown, which people were on board with.

    Definitely not Kendrick's fault though.

    This is fair

Kendrick wasn’t mad about that s***, he was mad because Cole was too nice of a guy to see that Drake clearly was positioning himself to be big bro and he tried to big bro Kendrick too. “Did Cole foul, I don’t know why you still pretending”.

Drake got so mad at Cole for dropping out because he thought it was gonna be him and Cole Vs. Kendrick. But Cole figured this out with the conversation with Q backstage and realized things were gonna get ugly and took the short term L by backing out.

Yeah Kendrick was put off because standard protocol is sending the beat with the vocals and leaving space for open verse. Drake clearly still got PTSD from Control and was afraid of sending his verse in and didn’t want to get cooked

Honestly if Drake was afraid to send the vocals via email he should’ve just coordinated with him so they all recorded in person. Leaving him off the song and sneak dissing was the worst way to go about. It

Only way that collab would’ve worked is if everybody checked their egos at the door and did it for the culture and Drake just couldnt do it.
