Drake has been to the Nike HQ several times now in the last couple of years and nothing has ever come off it. All we get are some pictures confirming he was there and then nothing else after that.

We still haven't gotten any announcements on an official collab, endorsement or any sort of deal so it's kinda hard for me to be excited about this.

Hope something good comes from it, though.

this year is nothing like the previous years tho

we have already seen nike merch meant for the album and a lot of cryptic stuff. and i think what he doing with nike now is originally what he wanted to do with adidas during scorpion release

It’s already been confirmed by a source he was supposed to have a big installation at Nike’s new New York store but COVID got in the way of that

What source? What installation? Was there also meant to be an announcement of a deal made as well?

I'm not saying he hasn't been in talks with them or doesn't have something he's been working on.

The fact of the matter is that we still don't have any official announcements of any sort of deal.

If Nike has reached a deal with Drake, I'm sure it would be a big deal to them and they'd announce it with a lot of media fanfare, but so far that hasn't happened. I'm not saying it won't. I'm just saying that until an official announcement is made, nothing is set in stone.

ALL we've gotten for years now is rumors upon rumors upon rumors with Drake rocking a lot of Nike merch but still nothing official.

My thing is that what sort of deal does he even have? Is it only for shoes? Is it going to be like the weak deal he had with the Jordan Brand where all he did was add OVO colors and the OVO owl to some of their shoes/merch that always dropped in limited quality?

Or is it a legit deal that spans merch, his own line of shoes, etc? We don't know and we won't know until some sort of official announcement is made. I'm tired of "sources said this" and "sources said that." That's all we've gotten for years now. I'll be excited when an official announcement is made because I know Nike won't miss out on the good PR that'll come from announcing a deal with someone as big as Drake.

I also don't know why everyone is so confident that the merch he's been rocking is for the album like Drake hasn't been rocking Nike/OVO branded merch for years now that never saw an official release.

He literally has his own logo with Nike now we’ve never seen anything like this from his brand deals yet stop being so negative all the time

Last year, it was the 6 Nike stripes that were his logo. This year, when he posted that other logo and was spotted wearing a hoodie with the logo, y'all concluded that that was now his logo for his Nike deal, but in truth, we really don't know anything for sure. All that's been happening is speculations and me, personally, I'm tired of speculations. I'm waiting for an official announcement. That's all I said. How is that being negative?

I know he's been in talks with them but we still haven't gotten any conclusive evidence that he's reached an agreement or that a deal is in place. All we've gotten are rumors and speculations.

Theres probably alot of deals he cant talk about or are very hush hush. We still dont know the details of his deal with universal, pandora sirius fm, nike I dont think it means he’s not doing anything. We just have to wait and see

I see what you’re saying my guy and I agree to an extent. Those 6 nike checks weren’t his logo, idk if anyone thought that, but they were designs. He actually has a legit logo now and I agree bro its annoying to work off rumors, but that’s all we have. The way Drake has been moving you have to work off rumors and subtle evidence. Collabs like the one we’re speculating don’t usually just get announced like that, it’s a spontaneous thing. Once they have their first drop a lot of info will come out.

I hope so. I know a lot of his feels won't get a PR rollout. I just think that if he's in a deal with Nike and they're about to drop some stuff, a major announcement will be made. I don't see how they don't build up hype for that.

But like you said, we just gotta wait to see what happens.
