this is exactly why AI is such a push for them they can completely remove and ignore the human element and just vulture off the sound and identity without issue
Jacobson is betting big on AI-powered music: In July, Hallwood announced a recording agreement with imoliver, the top-streaming “music designer” on Suno, marking the first signing of a Suno creator to a record label. “Stone,” the breakout single, racked up more than 3 million streams on the Suno platform before it was released on all streaming services on Aug. 8. It has now earned 4,000 on-demand official U.S. streams, according to Luminate.
Seems like nobody actually wants to listen to this s*** tbh
Literal NPC music know this was designing by some white dork speaking AAVE won’t even give them a click to see how bs this sounds
definitely sinister and youre not wrong to point out the racism but also interesting that its a black rnb artist
I would have assumed the first AI artist that I’d see “sign” a huge deal like this would be a fake white pop singer or something.
Surprised it isn’t k pop
The worst part is that it’s inevitable that one day an AI song will take off and become a hit
Surprised it isn’t k pop
I think K-pop (and this is probably true of just a regular popstar as well) the attachment to the person/stan culture creates too much of a barrier

J Pop has Hatsune Miku who’s a pretty big virtual artist. She even tours globally
