tell em 🗣
its just funny to me bc all these bands and artists ppl on ktt2 are so serious about stanning and they go hating on kiss to look cool and think that’s where their goats stand too? lol crine no your goats would be cringing at all that ignorance
when it's all said and done, the artist will be judged purely on the merits of their art. it doesn't matter if they were in style, passe, etc. people a hundred years from now won't care about that. they'll be more interested in how the music sounds, as they should.
ktt kids look up "greatest albums of all time lists", go on wikipedia to do their research, obsessed over pitchfork reviews lol and come in with loud opinions like they're the arbiters of quality. when all they have to do are just two things, listen to the music and see how it resonates with them.
ktt focusing on hater s*** when we got superstars as users on here
music gonna be ight f*** gene simmons !!

If these guys are not iconic, I don't know who are
iconic d***heads
kk luv these guys
I disagree with that, I think they just have a lot of fans like Metallica, it doesn't make the band worse.
Dave's voice is pretty recognizeable. I don't know if they have truly classic albums with gems on top of gems, but they seem like pretty sincere guys playing 3 hour long gigs.
Sometimes they have great songs like this one

I've wanted to write Queens of the Stone Age as their music is better then Foo Fighters but I don't think that QOTSA is as famous as FF.
iconic d***heads
kk luv these guys
They tease each other so much, that I'm constantly anticipating a reunion tour announcement, but in reality maybe they are drifting even further from each other then they were in 2009.
1988? like sonic youth or pixies or some s***?
Eminem ? JT ? Maybe he is referring to rock?
nah he names madonna, prince, MJ as iconic artists
so I think he's legitimately talking about all genres
crazy part is those same types usually grow out of that and actually give into artists they bashed during their youth later on in life. i would always see threads like that on steve hoffman lol age plays a major part in it as well. if you told me 10 years ago that i would be listening to frank sinatra and dionne warwick now I'd cringe, but nothing sounds more relaxing on a sunday afternoon
Used to be in that type of mindset when I was in hs now looking back it was so foolish
Now I just enjoy things for what they are 😊
The dude from KISS said that in an interview recently:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nme.com/news/music/kiss-14-1244796%3famp
What's your take? And what's your definition of an iconic artist?
1) This interview is from 2014 lol, that’s hardly “recent”.
2) He says rock is dead, which isn’t too far from the truth. The genre is a shell of its former self.
3) His iconic statement is either painfully out of touch or willfully ignorent. Either way, this is a hot take that comes with age for a lot of people. It’s hard for them to keep up with the new trends and modern legendary artist. Some, like Elton John or Paul McCartney, stay engaged. But if you’re like Simmons and haven’t paid attention you could easily miss what’s going on.
