Bro talking like being hot in NYC, as an NY artist no less, is like popping in Des Moines
I’ll give him props since NY had been dead for a hot minute

Love to know where you're from talking big like this lol
My least favorite of them all
I likef Riot and Same Problems tho but they all feel like loosies or failed attempts at hits
Honestly Rocky felt like he could reinvent himself the most out of his generation but the singles are reminiscent of a bygone era
No longer the hip hop capital. That nigga had to come to the south to get some motivation.
Denying the historical legacy of New York hip hop, and the cultural significance of ASAP Mob, because you want to win an argument is vulture s***
Those wouldn’t hold up in a versus unless you filled 80% the room up with Caucasians. You know why you didn’t realize how much it sold? Because you’re out of touch with the culture
That nigga ain’t moving the needle like that
and Big Sean is?
like huh?
and Big Sean is?

Big Sean, commonly known to not have a large amount of white fans
Love to know where you're from talking big like this lol
Memphis lol. Sorry bro. I’m sure it’s some circles that fw Rocky somewhere down here but I’ve never been around them. There’s only one guy I knew swearing and dying by Rocky and he was from NY
Rocky always been way more loved in the culture than Big Sean. Let’s not pretend like only white people f***ed with him

Alright well I love Memphis so I can't diss that city nor its music.
I have truly not listened to a full Rocky project in ages but it's straight up revisionist history to say Big Sean was making better music in the 2010s than Rocky, and that Rocky didn't have hits

Any mainstream rap act has a majority white fanbase
Core fanbase is a different story but the majority of consumers are white once you're Gold or higher
and Big Sean is?
like huh?
Ok, I’ll stop playing around. My honest thoughts. I think that quote from the thread title is ridiculous and I also think it’s hilarious to compare him to Cam. As someone who was a youngin around the time Cam came up, the whole aura was different. I don’t think it’s comparable at all. ASAP has always been cool, but his raps were never anything to relate to. Like, I get it. You a fly ass dude with some good flows… but I need more. Even when he tried to get personal in his raps, it didn’t feel genuine.
Personally, I’ve enjoyed Sean way more than him. It is what it is 🤷🏾♂️ I can understand why people prefer ASAP though. F*** the “corny” argument cause most of y’all niggas corny anyway
Talk to me when Rocky drops a visual masterpiece comparable to this
!https://youtu.be/g7Nvc65HI7o?si=10oKYiXkwLz7VCXnAre we really gonna discredit Rocky's music videos rn
Man has some of the best music videos ever made, like that's a commonly accepted take at this point lol

And that’s just the videos for himself. Not even counting the videos awge has done for other artists
I might be tripping a lil but I think Rocky is the Cam of his generation and I mean that in the best way possible
Will be remembered as a nigga who maybe wasnt one of the top most lyrically talented or deep of his generation but is one of the most iconic, flyest fits, classic and influential music, great flows and charisma
I feel like Rocky the reason nikkas today are even wearing all those Euro fashion shoes

Aight but the 2010s top 5:
Drake
Kendrick
Cole or Future
Kanye
After that, it’s Big Sean probably. I feel like you should be able to admit that

Ain’t ever heard anyone say this anywhere until right now.

Keef, Thug, Travis, Uzi, Nicki, etc all ahead of Sean

Easily Nicki and Keef

Cam was never as fly or as sexy as ASAP
If I had to make an "objective" 2010s top 5, I'm reaching for
Factoring in influence, popularity, and creative peaks together, I can't see how you could even argue against this
