Rocky was definitely mainstream mainstream from 2013-2015. He didn't capitalize on his buzz since he was experiencing writer's block + using a not so mainstream sound. I wouldn't even say Tyler currently is mainstream mainstream. He just has a large core fanbase that supports him fw and can push him to gold. His core audience is actually one of the biggest (even bigger than some1 like Future's), but he has no songs every1 knows unlike Rocky. Every1 knows f***in problems, pmw, wild for the night, peso, Multiply, etc.
