Wait I take this back @americana I ain’t realize who you were lol but I will say yes if the artist makes promises about their work i think you can’t just ignore those

Take BASS event for example. Fire ass event but the context about AIPAC and boiler room and s*** made it even more fire. Most context in art makes the s*** way way more fire. Plus local mythos about everything also helps even more.

However if the artist says a bunch of stuff about what the album is gonna be I’m absolutely gonna judge the album on that. Idk how you couldn’t lol it’s direct from the artists mouth.

Well the fact that he didn’t deliver on the things he said is actually a fact because he gave specifics on who and what would be on the album

But the rest sure is just my opinion

Collaborators like madlib, Morrissey, Danny elfman who did very little on the album, among other things

And you could say I’m being too nitpicky but I waited 2 years to hear madlib rocky so not getting that for me personally is a disappointment
