Obviously again lots of ideas, lots of concepts, ambitious sampling, but rocky as a MC has become so uncharismatic to me, like his music been feeling "flat" for a while - I don't feel anything listening to dude - it's always like the sounds are just passing by. He might be a better producer / composer nowadays than a rapper - then again if this was released by a new rapper it might feel like he'd have hella potential so idk - it's just in contrast to where rocky was in his career already

It bothers me personally when artists who don’t make creative music; wait, let me rephrase: don’t make music period: are more known for Calvin Klein d***prints than they are for any musical accomplishment: get to be the ones that boast this loud punk “aesthetic” on a platform like SNL. It makes a joke out of real artists everywhere. THIRTY SEVEN YEARS OLD BTW

And I agree with his vocals being damn near unlistenable these days idk what it is but that bravado and braggadocio he had is completely gone. Almost like distant vocals to fill in the mix but what he’s saying isn’t coming through. Very weird.

Also don’t really love the mixing, whole thing sounds pretty hollow imo.
