It’s not perfect at all but if there’s any rap album out there that deserves to be called “someone’s Yeezus” then it’s definitely that album. Truly one of my favorite balanced yet experimental rap tapes out there.
Just wish he did more effort on the writing on some of the tracks like Buck Shots tho. And some tracks have the autotune mixed a bit awkward. Besides that, it had some solid social/political commentary, amazing features, and a bunch of wild sounds/influences and a beautiful visual world to accompany the album and its message.
Been relistening to it a ton this week and it’s aged surprisingly well

My theory is that Distorted Records was going to be the de facto intro for TESTING and ASAP Forever was just going to be a promotional single that wasn't going to be on the album.
But I guess he got the Kid Cudi verse in, managed to get TI to do his random and useless narration. Probably figured it'd get the album some more streams so he added it. Would've been better if it was just added as a bonus track because its placement in the tracklist is still odd to me.
Distorted Records into Tony Tone makes a lot of sense. Putting ASAP Forever Remix between them throws the flow off a bit.
