This sums it up honestly. Same s*** applies to Weeknd/Trilogy fans, Kanye/College trilogy fans, etc.

People aren’t just saying the song isn’t good though, they’re questioning the direction.

If someone doesn’t like the song, cool, but saying ā€œwhat the hell is this why is he making this style where are the rapsā€ is just ridiculous when this is the same guy that made Testing. He’s been dabbling with other genres his entire career

Nothing wrong with that, you expect me to suck the tip and lick the balls for every thing he does?

strange choice for lead single on ur first project in almost a decade

with a lead single that feels like it’s 10 years ago from a genre he doesn’t belong to

    fascinating

    my exact thoughts

Idk, I liked it more on first listen than most people ITT from the looks of it, but I also liked Sundress and I don't know if I need a whole album of it. We'll see I guess.

I'm now wondering if the 15+2 means Tailor Swif and Hijack are the 2 bonus tracks and the rest of the album is in this vein... can't say I'd prefer that to the inverse tbh

I think there are no old singles on this but it does beg why there’s a second disc

Honestly it's probably some arbitrary bullshit but I'd like to think it's two songs completely different sonically from the main. We'll see...

The song itself is really cool, it does sound like some like Tame Impala inspired thing and there's nothing wrong with that

I love the Parappa the rappa cover, for some reason it's lowkey played out but I can't remember who did it already maybe I just consume too much media šŸ˜‚

I'm now realizing he should've just dropped a loosie project with

    Tailor Swif
    Hijack
    S***tin Me
    DMB
    Trunks
    Both Eyes Closed
    pray4dagangg
    Ruby Rosary
    RIOT
    Same Problems?

In the leadup to this album with as many of them not previously released as possible and people would've loved it

I do think that when an artist pivots to a style of music they don't normally do, they often don't put as much effort into doing an interesting version of that sound and sort of coast on 'Hey! It's ME doing THIS!' instead of thinking like an artist who's been working in that lane for a long time

Yup. And then people praise them strictly on "Hey at least he's TRYING to do THAT and be DIFFERENT!"

Robb Banks made a Parappa inspired cover for one of his tapes last year. Rocky just did way more with the Parappa inspiration

The same people crying about wanting Rocky to drop a rap song as the first single were the same people s***ting on Tailor $wif, Highjack, and Ruby Rosary.

Gotta say, glad Rocky is saying whatever to those losers and dropping a single that's in a similar vein to Sundress. There's no pleasing these people who have been wanting to keep him in a box making the same Live.Live.ASAP knock offs a decade and change later into his career.

Also very curious about the song that was playing at the start of the video when it zooms into the garage

I don't hate Punk Rocky but I don't love it either. Something about it reminds me of the worst parts of Cudi's rock era though.

If rocky really invested this rollout in making trippy banger Maison Margiela bape music like he did 15 YEARS AGO I wonder what things the squares itt would find to still complain about
