bringing insight into his personal crisis that was softened by the constant veneer of self deprecating humor kept up in most of the shows and that documentaries seemingly couldnt tactfully address. doubtful they'll get it right tho

tripping his story is very powerful & this could amplify it to a different generation & I imagine his family gets a slice of this

probably true but I’m in for younger mfs discovering the guy, personally inspired me alot to find some purpose in life when i was young dumb mf

i mean i have my reservations on his legacy but yea im not opposed to new gens finding out. i think to @/amoryblain's point, his story speaks for itself and for me regardless of the $/larger exposure, it would be gross to approach dramatizing his life without providing thought provoking commentary on fame, men's mental health & suicide - especially in these times. just putting it to film isnt enough, it should be a genuine and unforgiving portrait with all its complexities

of course if you really think about the type of dude he was, he would probably be totally opposed to a film about his life
