Dominic Sessa is a charisma black hole whose lack of range erodes my confidence in Hollywood casting directors with every job he gets.
Good movie otherwise.

True, but Leo Woodall though
Now that's a budding superstar

Between this and Tuner he’s announcing himself this year.
Stavy was great as well. Pretty much any time Leo, Stavy, or Antonio were on screen was a delight and any time Sessa was on screen was a chore.
found family movies are my bread and butter. especially when set during the summertime. I’m desperately craving seafood after this. Dominic Sessa, Leo Woodall, and Antonio Banderas are some of my favorite castings of the year and Jay McCarrol’s score was exactly what the film needed. it felt like a perfect little summer escape.
9/10
Really good
But man Tony was an a******
thought it was gonna be revealed that the chicks boyfriend was just a gay friend :koolaid:
Came here to say, I absolutely loved this film.
it did not need to be about bourdain and it still is a compelling watch, this is might be my personal favourite of the year.
Look forward to rewatching this and learning more about Bourdain
What a reflective piece of art, it does not pull back.
Finished Kitchen Confidential over the weekend so this was a sweet bookend; loved seeing the references from KC like the cast iron pan and Sal and the Bride. Ngl could have done without them changing/adding story lines but it was solid nonetheless 🔪

Imagine how horrible this would have been if Matt Johnson didn't direct it
