This one is yet another case of A24 not knowing how to properly market or manage a great film that could’ve been a real awards contender. Specifically, my heart breaks for Zac Efron. He would’ve been a likely Oscar nom & a surefire Golden Globes nom if A24 wasn’t so dogshit with promotion.

The answer to this is they've their hands tied between doing awards run and marketing for Past Lives and The Zone of Interest, and with the size of their operations basically not having many resources left for The Iron Claw unfortunately. I think they might end up pulling for at least one or two nominations for the best actor and supporting roles in Efron and McCallany respectively

yeah it's why they messed with the timeline, left out the DUI stuff, and Lance's subplot too...it's not that Chris didn't matter but I feel like his outcome was so similar to Mike and Kerry's that it just would have been a tad too repetitive for a film even though it's factually accurate to what happened

Chris also broke his arm before that similar to Mike so yeah there's that similarity...apparently one of the reasons Kerry probably did what he did was a probation violation that would have landed him in jail he killed himself the day before the court date or some s\*\*\*

That no foot reveal shook me. Wasn’t expecting that

Top 3 for me this year. Loved every second. There was far more grace, economy and finesse in the editing, writing and performances than I ever expected from a biopic like this. Efron 100% deserves an Oscar nom and not just for the body transformation her underwent.
