Got my steelbook in the mail yesterday, it’s dope af.
Looks great next to The Batman steelbook
I think Guardians the Galaxy is bottom tier MCU, so I was reluctant to watch this.
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would
CGI was bad at times.
The writing kinda had that deadpan Guardians humour, but it wasn't too obnoxious.
Some really touching moments.
Bald Hoult
Gunn cult bullied cudi off letterboxd

This movie sucks now.

Yeah the writing wasn't too obnoxious and that surprised me, considering that's like James Gunn's main trait in his writing.
Didn't find it touching but I liked it overall

Does he know
Whether James intended for it or not, the message is there in the movie.
Is it true that he wrote the movie before the escalation into what it is now? Yes, but the message is still the same.
I think James is trying to be as Apolitical as possible with this but he just comes off sounding dumb. Like how can he not see the relation his movie has to the genocide rn

Prob a mix of PR speak and also him being autistic about his work so he has to go "well technically 🤓"

Zaslav got him on the leash
Zaslav got him on the leash
That is honestly the most likely scenario
Zas is probably fine with it being in the movie on a surface level because A.) It's using stand ins and B.) It made money
Zaslav got him on the leash
I'm imagining zaslav not even realizing it's a Palestine/Israel parallel until the movie is already out
Zaslav got him on the leash
I seriously doubt that
I don’t think this is that deep
Truthfully the stuff in the movie can be a stand in for a lot of different real world events
It feels a lot like Palestine but with the bad guys being so clearly Russian inspired it can very well be Ukraine
I seriously doubt that
I don’t think this is that deep
It for sure is.
If he came out and said he wrote it directly about Israel you wouldn't be getting a sequel trust me.
Hollywood is run by zionists

He probably sees it but it wasn’t what inspired it. Isn’t that what he was saying? Just got off work so didn’t get to read that much into it but pretty sure he said this before as well.
