I think Guardians the Galaxy is bottom tier MCU, so I was reluctant to watch this.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would

CGI was bad at times.

The writing kinda had that deadpan Guardians humour, but it wasn't too obnoxious.

Is it true that he wrote the movie before the escalation into what it is now? Yes, but the message is still the same.
