Watched the first hour of F4 on a camrip, liked it a lot honestly

The big Surfer sequence convinced me to actually get in front of the big screen to finish the movie, hopefully that second hour lives up to it

You know upon rewatch this worked way better for me. I think on my first watch I just had a bad theater experience where they forgot to turn off the lights for the first 10 minutes and it affected my mood.

Any pacing issues I had were overblown because it is actually well paced. Yeah there’s some clunky dialogue with heavy exposition monologues but that’s just comic book s*** tbh. Definitely the best action pieces of any CBM this year. I’ll have to reevaluate my rankings after I rewatch Thunderbolts & F4. As of now I can see why this is a lot of people’s favorite CBM of 2025 cause it might be the most entertaining

As far as Superman rankings, I’ll need more time. Reeves, to me, is still the best I’ve seen at differentiating Clark from Supes and the first movie still has a unique feel from any other CBM. MoS has grown on me a lot over the years. It also filmed in the city I went to high school so there’s some bias there lol

Yeah at first I felt like I was playing catch up the whole time but on rewatch I was able to catch everything they were setting up for later in the movie. Like a lot of gripes, to their credit, they had an explanation for in the first half. Whether or not that explanation works is up to the viewer

I’ve always been a fan of James Gunn’s storytelling (his humor is hit or miss for me)

Yall don’t think that might conflict with the vision Matt reeves has for his Batman?

Why do yall want a compromised vision?

He would have to change a lot and to me that’s just comes off has compromising his original vision

I don't know how old you are but Anne Hathaway's character had a line in Interstellar that was relentlessly mocked online. "Love is the quickest distance between two points" or something. So to see the internet go from s***ting on that to praising this, when they are both equally corny, is crazy to me.

The movie was structured as a week in a life of Superman. And it was supposed to have title cards of the days like The Suicide Squad

It didnt test well apparently but it really would of help people catch on to the structure of the movie. The sense of time f***ed with people. It felt like everything was just happening

I think his humor shines the brightest with R rated like Peacemaker

"Krypto... collect the drones"
