Too American, too hopeful, the wanining popularity of Superman, superhero fatigue, DC wariness thanks to Sn*der, crowded box office with things more appealing to those markets (dinosaurs, fast cars) etc. I've also heard some other things that are specific to certain countries/regions but have no idea if they're true such as: China and other Asian countries don't like the suit, specifically the red trunks.
