This is a 2 hour Saturday morning cartoon. If you loved those — that framework, that tone — then you will love this movie.
Just saw it and this is the best way to put it
Felt like I was watching an 3 episode arc of the justice league cartoon mashed into one lol

Something that understands the hell out of Superman and his supporting characters. A couple small things that may make you go
But very exciting, very comic booky in the best and most unexpected ways, very moving. You’ll have fun

I have never liked superman as a character but dude this just hit a different note.
James Gunn put his ass into this one.
F***ing great time.
I think if you like superheroes and you open your mind to a more colorful and funky world its a flick youre really gonna like.
I think its a nice change of pace from everything having to be serious or a sarcasm circle jerk.
It was a fun superman movie. I really had a good time. So much better than all the Snyder s***.
@fader aint been on here in a minute but i came back to tell you that Superman does move the needle nigga LMAOO
Lmaooo jk jk hope you enjoyed the movie tho
I didn’t love this as much as I would have liked to but damn must a I say probably the greatest Superman movie . Perfect characterization and performance . Mr Terrific the coolest . Hawkgirl the hottest and Lois lane the awesomest !!! 8/10
#Gunntomyhead I didn't love it as much as I was hoping too but I still really enjoyed it id give it an 8/10
I immediately bought the Mr Terrific Fortnite skin when I got home
Maybe it’s just #me but I feel like a lot of critics who either didn’t like this or just thought it was fine are being weirdly defensive and passive aggressive now that it’s out and audience reception is overwhelmingly positive. I follow a few who spent a lot of the day tweeting s*** like, “I’m glad people are enjoying Superman but (reiterates problems they had with it)” or “Superman is cool but you’re crazy if you think it’s better than (insert Donner film, Raimi Spider-Man, etc.) I even saw somebody have some sort of existential crisis about what it means to be a critic in 2025.
Strange behavior.
