My only real concern with James Gunn writing this film is the humour in his writing. A lot of the times its funny but sometimes it can extremely overbearing and grating.

But I have seen him pull off genuine emotions/earnestness as well, so I guess we'll see.

I’m in the minority cause I’m not a big James Gunn fan. Haven’t gotten around to watching Peacemaker, so it may change but GOTG 1-2 for me are bottom tier MCU films. Like they’re cool 1 and done watches. His humor is very hit or miss, often time misses. Like outside of Drax, I didn’t find any of the GOTG films that funny, more so irritating cause the jokes often times just rip away whatever immersion you may have been feeling.

Like Quill breaking out into a dance in what’s I guess the climax of GOTG is still so terrible to me. They’re the only 2 MCU movies I’ve seen in theater, and I legit felt like I got fleeced. Especially for v2.
